I'm trying to drop a few more pounds over the next few weeks, and using the Atkins diet.
Here is what I plan on doing.
Stacker 3 every morning
Protein Power drink for breakfast
Atkins Advantage bar for morning snack
High Protein Lunch - zero carbs if possible
Atkins Advantage bar for afternoon snack
High Protein Dinner - zero carbs if possible
No sodas, no added caffine.
2 gallons of water a day
what do you guys think?

Sounds like a bullet proof plan, but know it's time for the hard part, starting. I've been thinking about putting together a similiar diet, so I can shave a few off, before summer is over. Where did you find those Atkins advantage bars? Good Luck.

That atkins diet is awesome if your looking to lose big pounds fast! No carbs suck though. its funny but in a week or 2 the thoght of a piece of bread will make your mouth water:D

Make sure you carry around a piss jug or are always near a bathroom, drinking 2 gallons of water a day!

I've been off and on the atkins diet for over a year. So it's nothing new to me. I'm actually 6 days into it now and have lost 5 pounds as of this morning.
Yeah, I know the 2 gallons of water is a lot, but I figure this...
Two glasses for breakfast, and one with the protein mix.
two with the snack bar
four with lunch, two before i eat, and two during, help curve the appetite some.
two with the afternoon bar
four with dinner
and as many as i can before bedtime, and inbetween.
Not only the pissing will be the problem. But when I'm on a heavy protein diet, it's like i piss out my ass. Solid shit? what's that? So I'm going to have to be by a bathroom 24/7 :D

oh and they have the advantage bars at GNC, i bought one of each flavor today, to try throughout the week, but the first one, the SMORES is the fucking bomb.

Hey Matt could you give me a run down of REAL food that one could make during the day and be on atkins?
I can stand to eat tuna every lunch and watch the carbs during the night, but what about the morning?

it's pretty simple.
eggs
cheese
bacon
ham
sausage
steak
pork
chicken
veal
lamb
beef
those are your friends.
Stay away from bread, potatoes, most vegetables, all fruit, most sauces, dressings etc...
The best breakfast item would be omlettes and eggs bacon, etc.

Try getting your goofy butt up and working out. Add that to your regime. ;)
Seriously, though. For breakfast I would suggest you getting some Fiber. Like with some whole wheat toast or Bran Flakes with a pinch of raisins in skim milk. Fiber (only in the morning) will give you some energy to survive your extremly low carb thing. And insoluable fiber like in the Bran "steamrolls" through the intestines taking fat with it.

Matt - u using piss strips?
Im just curious as to the effect of the carbs in the Atkins bar. ie... Are the net carbs the ONLY carbs getting thru? Because 3 of those bars a day should kick you out of ketosis if its got more carbs being metabolized than 3, like say the gross amount listed on the bar.
If they don't kick you out of ketosis, I'll give em a try.

Jerred i can tell you what I cooked for Alan and what he snacked on. He didn't do it all out and stay too strict like Matt is doing, but here are some of the things i cooked and bought for him. He just basically cut out carbs for the most part and all sugar etc. (and it sucked since i was trying to just do low cal/low fat while i am cooking up his big old bratwurst and cheese)......lol
snacks- beef jerky, pork grinds, string cheese, cheese cubes and he would sometimes have raw brocoli
for meals- i usually cooked up a steak on the grill, chicken breast, hot dogs, all kinds of sausage (cheddar wurst, hot links etc.) and usually a small side of veggie like broccoli.
He even would eat eggs and sausage for dinner sometimes.

They shouldn't. According to Atkins, these bars net only 2-3 carbs, depending on the flavor, as fiber and glycerin have a minimal effect on blood sugar. If my crap/farts/piss stop stinking, I'll let you know. I've been doing this so long, I know when I'm in ketosis, and when i'm not.

I just watch my caloric intake and workout accordingly. Oh yeah and I use xenadrine now.
