I know it's been exhausted, but I have looked in all the threads and haven't seen any conversation on prolonged exposures with it... Meaning, how long is too long? How long is okay? Does it just vary by body? How much is too much weight to lose by this? I am aware it's not even close to being the healthiest diet, BUT.....*insert excuse here*..

Thanks,
Grant

How long is too long? Hard to say. I've seen stories on TV on the diet where people had been on it for a year. Fuck. Too long for me. I've not been more than 7 days on atkins EVER.

I dont even want to think of seperating myself from carbs for that long.

Basically, do it for as long as you need to, in order to reach your goal weight. If its a big goal, break it up. Do atkins for a week, carb up 2 days, then back on it. If your not addicted to carbs, then go as long as you can till your reach your goal.

Its up to you.

As much as I hate the Atkins trend, the advice above is good. You're right though, it is not the healthiest diet around. Eating right can have the same results combined with a little... yep, you guessed it exercise.

Now that I am out of the fitness business I don't feel the need to try to talk people out of the Atkins diet. It was an uphill battle anyway. Good luck.:D
