anyone have any idea how i can install a flip-down screen in my truck without screwing it thru the headliner? i'm really apprehensive to do so, considering i might trade the truck in later on down the road, and don't want to have to put a new headliner in it...any suggestions?

I don't know of anyway to make it stick besides screws man. I actually saw someone take the rough side of velcro and use it. But then again that was REALLY REALLY easy to steel too and so did some guy that jacked his car.

might PM EW... doesn't he work at a stereo shop?

hmm.. the way it looks right now, i'm gonna have to remove the dome light to get it in there flush anyways.. i'm thinking i'll need to build a brace that comes out of where the light was, goes back a few inches, and i can screw into that and just dremel the ends of the screws off once it's installed...

OTOH, i'll call EW or stop by the shop today to see what he can do for me.

I have not seen one that did not require a large hole to be cut into the headliner. Proper installation will be safer and look better plus, when you sell the vehicle, it may add value. Better and cheaper stuff will be out in the future anyway.

Hi low!

i do alittle of stereo installs as a hobby at home and i have worked on a sedan before and i used a soft playwood about half inch and then cut it out to the size of the holes of the flip down, then insert the playwood between the headliner and the roof of your truck, then use small size wood screw that can fit without drillinig through the wood.this will look nice and n no mess done & go home a happy camper:p ;)
