Let me see if I can condense what works for me. What you are trying to do is cut out bad fats (saturated ones). Cut out bad carbs like simple sugars (Cokes, white bread, flour, juices, stuff with sugar in it) Get the amount of protein that your body needs from chicken and turkey breasts, tuna and fish, lean cuts of meat and protein shakes ( make sure the protein shake isn't a glorified milkshake)
Sample for Breakfast: Egg whites or egg substitute/two slices of whole wheat bread w/ spray butter (0 calories in the spray) or Wheat Eggos w/ sugar free syrup w/ a small fruit cup and some egg whites or protein drinkor Unflavored oatmeal w/ equal sugar and 1/4 cup of raisins or a bowl of Total or the like w/ skim milk.
Try to plan your meals the night before and bring them to work. Try to eat something every 3hrs. This keeps your body in a metabolic state. Try a snack like tuna w/ fat free mayo and some relish on low fat Triscuits or Wheat thins. Or eat a low carb protein bar. Drink a lot of water during the day. Try to make sure you get carbs and protein from good sources together. Taper off your carb intake in the evenings.
Sample lunch: Chicken Breast or turkey breast w/ steamed veggies or salad and low fat dressingor Tuna fish in water, low fat mayo, relish, dijon mustard on wheat bread or whole wheat crackers.
Do you kinda get the idea?
