I have been breaking up the running routine this week and decided to run 3 miles every morning, just as fast as I can on that particular day.

I have done 29:00, 27:20, 26:35 and this morning 25:45, will shoot for 24:45 tomorrow.

Since yesterday my lungs have had a slight burning sensation when I breathe.

Anyone else experience this. I'm running in an air conditioned building so the air is ~75 degrees or so???

hey al.. you might need to check the types of fluids you are takin in or take more water... my soccer coach told me about that once, he told me to avoid juices before i ran too

My "over the internet" opinion would be that it is normal. You are busting ass going as fast as you can and it appears that every morning you have been able to cut your time down.

As such, you are working your lungs harder and harder each morning. More muscle fiber, more oxygen running through, etc.

Either that, or you might have some type of respiratory infection that is being aggravated by running.

BTW, good job on getting the times down!

I did have asthma when I was younger so maybe that is it. It never bothers me but who knows.

Just wondering if anyone else gets this shit, it is very annoying!!

I havent had an asthma attack since I was about 10 and I have played football and baseball all my life and i've always had that problem. Inhaler used to help a little but I havent had one since I was 12, just never went back for a refill... I usually just ignore the pain or let it keep my mind off the next 3 miles I have left...
