I bought a set of memphis 5x7's and they lasted a week on the stock mach 460 amp. I was going to get a amp to push the door speakers but not sure which to get. Also the tweeters never worked on the Memphis 5x7's. Its like the factory wireing had some kind of crossover so only low freq would go to the 5x7

I just bought this years eclipse 5x7, they rock. I listened to MB Quart, JL Audio, the new Kappas, Kenwood, audiobahn, and few other cheap ones and the eclipse won for me. I like that I can run nearly 100 watts to each of them and they dont crap out. These have that rubber surround and a mylar tweeter so its a nice package. Little pricey but Deff worth. Make sure to high-pass them on your amp for best sound.

If you can afford it, a 4" seperate with tweeter in masonite plate will also rock, such as the Quart's or Boston's. BTW the boston 5x7 was good too.

I also have a set of the Eclipse 5x7's in my work van. They are very good speakers.

I don't know what your budget is, but if you are looking for some thing better, try the Boston Acoustics or Kicker 5x7 and 1" tweeter components. The mid bass of either of theese is bad ass, pick which ever one based on which tweeter you like best.

By the way, your stock amps do have built in crossovers that will cut out the highs of your 5x7's. Get an aftermarket amp and set it to high pass, some where around 100hz.

ditto on the bostons/ and high-pass amp. Get a zapco if you can afford it or maybe an audio art, those seem to make an amazing front stage. Ditch mach amps for these
