i let the car sit for an hour before i ran her and iced her down during that time. i'm usually trapping 67-68 mph in the 1/8th, but with that first run with a crappy launch, i trapped 71.5 mph. the next run was a high 68, and then i was back to 67's.

was this some freak occurence, or does icing the intake/letting the car cool down really help THAT much?

if you have an aluminum intake, which yours should, then it should help. my car on the other hand seems to trap more mph when it's more or less hotlapped. when i let it sit for a while or try to ice the plastic intake it drops about 2 mph.

I dropped 2 tenths off my time by icing it.
