Dude, shut the hell up!! You have alot more to worry about than JS12. You need to consentrate on getting your car tuned out, because your girly 6.16 asn't going to cut it!!

Im sure we could find a track to let us make a pass. If not, im not scared to run on GB Speedway from a stop, some late night. Yellowbelly is an option too. If Andrew is gonna pick on a slower Ls1, then I should be able to pick on a slower car...right?

I'm not interested in yellowbelly, and I'd rather run at the track.
If Redline will allow it, I'm up for it.

If you think that a 6.16 is all the car has in it in this state of tune, you've got another thing coming.
I went WOT for 1/2 second on the launch, and 1 second through the traps.
For the other 4.5 seconds, I was around 1/2 throttle (as you saw in the datalog - average throttle angle was about 50 degrees) and I was in part throttle operation - 18 degrees timing vs 25 degrees timing. I'm sure I'm down a good 150 rwhp if not more for the time when I'm not WOT.

REdline will let bikes run cars, especially if you tell them it is for money or for bragging rights. They let a El camino whoop up on a bike this past Fri night. Oh yea it was a big block w/ 2 /stages.

Look I understand that the Datalog says that you were half throttle at times. But I am not falling for it. You can't tell me that your foot came off of the gas. I can see that maybe your tune is screwed up and it is pulling to much timing, but I saw you race your car and I didn't hear any distinctive sounds of your motor dropping rpms or see the nose dropping any. It is something with the tune not your foot right? I am sure that your car has more in it, but don't act like you are letting in and out of the gas down the track. I know you're not that big of a pussy. The 5-speed was a hell of alot harder to drive than that 2-speed powerglide. Oh, and don't give me no shit about the transbrake. You were making 6000rpm launches with the 5-speed.

If you let me know when ya'll are going I will try to make it out there, I can arrange this race. I got the hook up. I'll tyr and find you. Think back to the old astro days and white swan and try to remember a white lx with a c4 and pizza cutters on the front and you'll remember me, and I came to your house with the guy that bought your silver coupe.

You obviously don't understand simple physics. As my foot gets closer to the floor, the throttle opens more and more. Understand? Now when I go over a certain throttle angle, I go to wide open throttle mode. When I'm under a certain throttle angle, I go to part throttle mode. The tunes for these modes are different.
You saw the datalogs. I was in and out of the gas down the track. The car was loose going down the track and I gave it as much gas as I was comfortable with. A loose converter will do wonders in covering that up in terms of sound.
Oh, and another thing: When did I say anything about the transbrake?

Like I said. Half throttle my ass!! You can't tell me that when you went on Pro mod night it wasn't hooking and I know you aren't a pussy. I know you held that thing to the floor the whole way and ran a 6.19. I don't care how much converter you have you will notice someone feathering the pedal. So quit lying or prove me wrong. Oh yeah, I know your car has more in it, but I am saying it is not your foot it's your tune.

Hardy har. Boy you know I just put a couple of bolts in the heads to keep trash from getting in the motor. I just have to get the right studs before I can do much more.

The "goal" is high 8's low 9's(@3000lbs & bumping the compression another point, maybe cam and/or converter pending on how it like the n2o). I think the way it is setup right now (3400lbs, 11.5:1 comp.) it "should" go low 10's on motor and mid 9's on bottle. That is what the engine builder told me what I could expect anyway. I'm just going by someone who builds Pontiacs for a living. For all I know I could get out there and run 11's on motor.:( We'll see.

Post up a video of that second pass from behind the car and if you can hear or see anything that looks like you let out, then I guess I am blind or deaf.

StangTamer- I've got a buddy of mine who's got a '94 Cobra with a 347 in it. He's gone 11.4 @118 on motor untuned..and, he's fixing to put a NX 150 shot on it, and get some tuning. Andrew talked to him at Denton last weekend, so he should know who I'm talking about. BTW-he ran the 11.4 shifting like a bitch...the car's got alot more in it..I'd say it's capable of 11.1's N/A. Then you drop the 150 shot on it..and have what? 10.3-4's? (In a Cobra, so ya got the pimp factor goin' on..and all he's gotta do is hook the sway bar and tighten up the tokico's and he can tackle the twisties right along side of the best of 'em!) Anyways-he's always up for a good race..so if you ever get that heap running, his cobra will be waiting to strike!

Just to clarify something-I did not TELL chad to go and buy a sneaky pete kit...on the first pahge of this thread, he said he would beat Andrew with one...then andrew said to back it up, and Chad said no, there was no need to. I was basiclaly saying, NOT to say you could beat someone with such and such mod, and then when they say to prove it...you say "no,it's not worth my time". Never in there did I say for him to go and buy one.

I didn't say you did. I understand if he said he should back it up. But realisticly there is no way for him to. I see your point, if he can't do it he shouldn't say it.

it would not be the only thing he has bought to try and hang with a little small block ford. i think he has change motor combos about three times cause he knows he is gonna get his ass handed to him on platter when he brings the POS out, so he is tryng to delay it as long as he can. his junk has been down for six years now, and he thinks his is gonna come out a run 10's on motor and go 8's on the bottle on 30year old suspinsion. i will be there with a camera and a truck and trailer to drag him home when he hits the wall the first time he hits the bottle.

Yeah WTF ever!! Changed motor combos three times? That would be like me saying Andrew changed motor combos about four or five times because he is trying to make his combo better than mine. That's just racing and part of building a motor. Hell yeah, everyone wants to get the most out of there combo. That is all I'm doing, I'm not trying to delay shit. Yeah my car(73 Bird) hasn't been running in 6 years. But, I haven't been working on it that long. Maybe a year on buying 10-15K in parts. Give it a try sometime, it's not that easy. The 68 has been running since before I first posted on here. I plan on running 9's on motor FYI. I will bet you money that it will run in the 10's on the first clean pass on motor. It will definately take some tuning time and a diet to run 9's on motor, but I will get it there. That 30 year old suspension hooked up last time with 1.49 60 fts so it isn't that bad. I have seen guys run 6.0's on that 30 year old suspension.

For starters, it's a MUSTANG website, and I am representin' the Stangs. So, naturally people here are going to have my back/not jump my shit, for flaming a GM owner. Secondly, the ford I am representin RUNS, not a car that WILL run, and I don't pop off numbers said car will/can/might could run. Secondly, Dupont drives a GM, and when a GM owner comes to a Ford oriented site, and starts popping off at Ford owners, it is only natural that he is going to get flamed on. Kinda like yourself..you come to a ford website, and talk a bunch of shit, of course you're going to get shi talked right back to ya. Just my .02

Well, there are more GM guys on here than you think noob. You have alot to learn about this site. When you say something stupid, you will get called BS on it regardless of what kind of car you have. Dupont called BS on what you said, and he had a good point. He wasn't flaming on Mustangs even though they do suck. So, it didn't have anything to do with what kind of turd you drive. He was just stating the obvious, that it is not likely that anyone is going to go out and purposely spend money to down grade there car to prove a point. I was talking shit to Andrew and he called me on it. That is fine. I will race him with a Sneaky Pete if he can get me one to use for the day. But, I am not going to spend the $250.00-300.00 for something I would only use once.

Not to far.lol I was being sarcastic and got called on it. I feel obligated to do it now.haha I have all of the main stuff other than the distributer. It will probably be back from MSD in a couple weeks(hopefully). I have just been putting everything together and trying to get it set up as much as I can for now. So, once I get the distributer I should be able to bust it off and get to tuning.

Hopefully by the 11th of July. Just imagine the headlines now, after years in the making, ANDREW vs. STANGTAMER. Of course, being of Mustang blood I'm gonna have to go for Andrew but would love to see the race. Hell maybe Garso,JC, jetfast50, 302-a few, TApimp, black TA, and whoever has called me out and not shown up can make it out there so I can shut them up, might be a good night if its not to hot.

Well, it has been 6 years since I drove anything fast, so I am going to need some seat time. So, I don't think I will be racing Andrew for a while (couple months atleast) unless I am comfortable with the car. Hell, for atleast the first month I am going to be dialing it in on motor. Once I get her set on kill I will start squizing it. Plus, I will be calling out alot of the slower guys that have talked trash to me in the past and work my way up to Andrew. If I chop his head first nobody will want to race me.lol

True, to a point. I probably have about 10 people on my side and I think only half of those think I will win, the other half just hope.lol If Andrew goes through with the Turbo set up then I may as well hang it up. I can't compete with his paychecks. That's one of the only down falls of being a family man.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this thread today. People get on the Tamer for not having his stuff done yet and taking so long to do it, but he has a family. He has to pay for things for his children, he has to provide for his whole family. After work and family and probably a few other things falls the car. Things like buying the heads for his car might of taken saving up for 4 months. I remember about 6 or 8 months ago his wife got sick so that sort of did away with the car plans for a while. I know one thing, when he gets his car out of the garage if he beats Andrew or not he will have my respect. And he really will be able to chop most guy's heads. And I still think he will be able to take him in the 1/8, we will see about the 1/4 and I can't wait to get a ride in it :D

chads problem is that he got too cocky too fast. he was wise cracking when there was one car and one bike in the nines on this site. now there is a half dozen or so, and more that are almost there. my car has been down for over a year now, i do not make that much money at all, so i know where he is coming from on the money situation. he will go six's, five's i do not know. thats not horsepower, that suspinsion. i just do not think leaf springs and slapper bars are gonna cut it.
lets get back to the subject at hand. is Andrew and JS12 gonna run?

The reason I talk smack is for motivation. I don't think I could have picked a better person to talk smack and grudge with than Andrew. Regardless if I win, lose, or draw against Andrew I will still be happy. Yeah, I will be happier if I win. But, if it wasn't for Andrew, my car wouldn't be close to running or as fast as it is going to be. That is the only reason I talk smack. It motivates me to build my car faster and faster because I don't want to lose. I would really like to see how my car will do against Andrews with the blower set up. I think it would make for a close race, and could go either way. But, I think he is going to get a turbo set up now. I can't compete with Andrew when it comes to money. So, I will most likely lose if he puts a turbo setup on. Hopefully I can get my car tuned out and race him before he makes the changes. I would hope it could possibly happen within 2 months after I get my car running due to seat/tune time. The question is, will he make his change before I am ready. But that's racing, if he does so be it. I'll give him all the Tamer has and see how I come out. I guess it wouldn't be to bad to lose to Andrew considering he should be able to beat everyone on this board once he is in full tune.

Alot of people seem to think I have been building on one car. The reason it has been taking so long to get one of my cars on the road is because, I couldn't make my mind up on which one to fix first. My 68 Firebird has been running since I started posting on here. I just decided to try and paint it and redo the interior. I am not the best body man in the world so it is taking a long time to staighten it out. I honestly could have the 68 on the road in a weekend if I want to just through it together. But, I really want to make it right. The 73 Firebird I started building the motor a little over a year ago off and on. I have went back and forth on working on and spending money on both cars. In the last year alone I have probably spent between 10-15k(cash not credit) on the 73 Bird so it's not like I make chump change. The 73 Bird will probably come out looking like shit. I just want to get it on the road and race Andrew so I can get people off my back for taking so long.lol Plus, this all work no play sucks.

I'm not going to lay in nothing yet. The only reason my car won't be in front of half of the peiple on this site is because they won't want to race me. If you want to line your weak ass corp. motored LS1 up against me, I would be more than willing to lay down some money on that race.

Well if he only runs 10.86 on motor he needs to keep his mouth shut about my car, because that won't be enough for him to beat me on motor. BTW, before you crack on my car, it weighed in last time at 3460lbs. so he isn't the only one. I drive my car alot when it is running. To answer your questions, no, no, no, and don't know. I'm not sure what it will look like with a TH400 with 4100 stall. But, I would have to think it will put down 450-500rwhp on motor. I haven't ever had my car on a chassis dyno before. You guys up there have a chassis dyno, you tell me what 650-700 crank HP with 625tq should put out on with a TH400.
How about once I go to tune my car out, I take it up there and run it on your dyno. If I make 450rwhp or more you give me the session free. If it doesn't I will pay your fee.:D Then we can go to the Redline and if I run better than a 6.90 atleast once on motor you pay my entree/race fee. If I don't run better I'll pay yours.

I bet you will shut your mouth real quick when you cant even run a 6.90 on motor. haha lol.:D Michael why are you talking shit when your car doesn't run either?

It doesn't matter if it's a Mustang, LS1 or even a Dodge, the fabrication still has to happen to make the parts fit. I don't think they have a 91mm bolt-on turbo kit for LS1's just yet!
Easy on the red wire, I saw some of your wiring last week.....:)
