Had two races in the same night.
First Race:
Kid in a 3.5 Altima tails me from Belt Line in Irving all the way around Loop 12 exit on 183. Soon as its time to do the drive into traffic thing he NAILS it and comes around, just as he gets past me, I floor 3rd and kindly PUSH him out of the way, was so funny to see him hit the blinker to let me by as he kept going car length after car length back in my mirror.
I read some of the "foreign" boards on occasion you know the "know thy enemy" mentality. There are alot of folks out there that think those 3.5 Altima's are toned down 350Z's. Funny though I have put a couple of Mid-40's guys in there place in those things too.
Second Race: The good one
Im cruising down a nameless road two lanes wide, I notice Camaro lights in my rear view, working his way up to me from about 10 cars back. He finally makes it and we meet at the next light side by side. He has dark tint so I cant see him, but I get the "I am God" Throttle Blip from him 2 or 3 times. So when green comes, I start ripping the tires off, by Third I have a full car on him, then the next light comes, we stop HARD, he rolls down the window gives me a smile and says Go Again! so I oblige him. Green light comes, I clutch it a little to not spin, I keep him at the rear bumper all the way to mid 4th where we reached the next light.
I make a turn, he comes with me, obviously not satisfied with not having handed me my ass, im in a '97 for God sake. The same thing happens over and over all the way up this street too, he pulls up beside me, the underside of his car is smoking, and something doesnt smell good, he obviously had been whipping on his car pretty hard. Good guy though, asks what I have, I tell him, he is impressed gives me a thumbs up and mumbles something about getting headers and true duals soon.
He said only thing done was weigt reduction, he weighed like 3300 or 3400lbs with him in it, it was a no options Z28, and that he was putting down 330rwhp, so I felt real good after that.
I dont know what im putting to the wheels now, but my setup is in my sig.
Dont now why my Sig isnt showing up, but this is what I have in the car.
