Thank you for your inquiry. The product Xenadrine RFA-1 has been
phased out and is no longer available. The decision to phase out RFA-1 was
made over a year ago. As a consumer you may have noticed that you have not
seen any new advertisements for Xenadrine RFA-1 in quite some time. This
decision in not, in any way, connected to concerns regarding safety of the
product. We firmly believe that RFA-1 is both safe and effective when used
as directed and this position is supported by over 50 published studies on
ephedra, as well as the 7 clinical studies of Xenadrine RFA-1.
We believe that Xenadrine EFX is a superior product, and has a
broader market appeal than Xenadrine RFA-1. We have received extremely
positive feedback for Xenadrine EFX which has supported our decision to
shift our marketing focus away from Xenadrine RFA-1 and towards Xenadrine
EFX.
Xenadrine EFX was designed to be the next generation of the
Xenadrine line. Its formula works through many more mechanisms than RFA-1
and therefore, represents a more advanced product. Based on this, we shifted
our focus to EFX and began phasing out the older RFA-1 formula. Again, this
decision was made over a year ago. We feel there is nothing unusual about
phasing out an older product once a new one has been developed. The bottom
line is that RFA-1 was a very successful and effective product, but
Xenadrine EFX is even better.
