Well SHIT!!! Compared to sdun, manny and Andrew, looks like the Capri has lost a step or two. Now granted, I haven't run on the 400 hp shot yet, but just to be sure that I'm not embarassed any further, I've got a few things in the works. I'm in the process of getting rid of those junk Performer RPM heads to be replaced with some Brodix Track 1's thoroughly messaged by Glen and Kevin Self at Self Racing and I'm looking for some new headers. So, to the point of this post.
Anyone know off hand where I can find some 1 7/8" to 2" step headers with 3 1/2" collectors to fit my 347 with a powerglide?
The car is still running pretty strong, but I won't be able to make it to this week's fun and grudge. Looks like I'll be back with the new equipment on June 20th though!
Rob.
andrew got a set of kooks headers, but they still had to me messaged a little to get them to fit around the glide. You might ask him for more details.
Kooks is probably your best bet.

Rob-
You might PM SNEAKY when you go to sell your old heads. He is looking for a set of heads and was coveting the ones you have now.

Thanks all. I'll PM Andrew about his set up. I'm not sure I'm going to part with the Performers though. I'll probably put them on a '65 Pro Street Mustang I've got that needs a head upgrade!

Andrew had problems with his headers because of the type of K-member he had. I would check with him so you don't run into the same problems.

I PM'd Andrew and have not yet rec'd a reply. Good point though. I hadn't considered the fact that the K-member would likely be the first point of resistance in installing the headers!

Yeah if I'm not mistaken D & D(I think that is what they are called) K-members have problems with Kooks headers. Turd had the same problem with his.

I sold my D&D and bought an AJE k-member... performance automotive is good too!
Call archie at usa in arlington, he has a set of 2 inch for a 302 block car w/ pg. He sold them to me and they were wrong for my car so I took them back. Tell him Steve @ Lonestar told you to call.

Damn... To drive to Arlington, back to Forney, go back to Arlington, and then back to Forney again had to suck!!!
I live out in Heath and driving to and from Dallas takes an hour. I bet your drive into work at Lone Star eats up you most of your mornings.

superpro,I tried to make them work for 2 days after I had them coated!!!
I just work at Lonestar when he needs extra help around big events like NMRA and FFW.
I can get there in 35 minutes. Are we going to do some paint work on your car?
coley, a powerglide pan is offset to the left and c6 headers may not work.
I got Kook's 2 inch on mine with the 4" collector and they clear my C6 pan very easily, the collector gets pretty close to my crossmember though...

coley, a powerglide pan is offset to the left and c6 headers may not work. I think there was about two inches between the pipes and the pan, I'm not positive. The only reason I suggested is that Rob knows Lee, and would be very easy to look at his car sice they live in the same area.

coley:
I'll check with Lee. May be too late though, as I have some Kooks 1 7/8" to 2" into 3 1/2" collectors in transit as I type!
sdun: I'm going to wait to have them coated just in case I need to hammer, heat, bend, slam, torture, etc., to get them to fit.
