I've heard some good things about the "New Advanced Hydroxycut" Ephedra free. They claim that their customers have an AVERAGE weight loss of 10 pounds in 8 weeks with a 2000 calorie diet and 30 minutes walking cardio. Does anyone have experience to prove that right or wrong? Anyone on the board use this stuff and have good results? I've also read about Xenadrine EFX, also Ephedra free. any comments on either of these products would be great. I can get 210 ct. bottle of Hydroxycut for 39.99 which I thought was a good price. If i get consistent positive remarks on here, then I think I wil have to try it.
Thanks guys

Not saying its good, nor bad but a 6' 200 pound male walking at 4MPH for 30 minutes a day and restricted to 2000 calories a day will lose about 10 pounds in 8 weeks without any other aid.

It's funny you say that because I was JUST thinking the exact same thing. But still, does anyone think that this is a great supplement? The more I read (not from their ads or anything, but from websites and such that have customer opinions) the more I want to try it. One thing that makes me against it is the fact that I'm a creatine user right now, and there is caffiene in this product, so it would probably negate all the effects of the creatine...

I think the Hydroxycut helps you keep your diet at the 2000 calorie mark by decreasing your cravings like any other diet supplement while at the same time, the caffine increases your resting metabolic rate helping your burn more fat while sitting on your ass in front of the computer. I've been using hydroxycut for a week now and I don't weigh myself bc imo it's stupid bc I'm going to be gaining muscle and losing fat/water weight so I'll probably be gaining weight. I have however noticed that my muscles show through alot better, that my appetite is a lot less, and that I have more energy. I only take 3pills 2x a day bc it will fuck with your sleep patern if you take it past like 2pm

It works. You don't have to change your diet one bit. It works a hell of alot faster with a good deit and exercise.
My wife lost a good 15-20 pounds and a few inches on that stuff. I'm on it now. No butts about it. If you take it like your supposed to. It works.

That right there is the key to using any metabolic enhancer effectively. Anyone can experience weight loss without any other changes due to the higher metabolism something like Hydroxycut produces, but as soon as you discontinue use all of it will come piling back on if there wasn't a lifestyle change taking place as well.
Hydroxycut is a supplement, meaning that is to be used in addition to an already solid diet and exercise regimen. Anyone who has successfully used anything like hydroxycut would have lost the weight without it, it would have just taken a little longer. My best asdvice is to view Hydroxycut as an aid, not a means to and end.

According to their site, Hydroxcut has:
200 Mg Caffeine
90 Mg EGCG
152 Mg Calcium
225 Mg Potassium
133 mcg Chromium
The only thing listed in the ingredients that will raise your metabolism is the caffeine. 200Mg caps of Vivarin cost about 1/3 of hydroxcut.
EGCG is for cardiovascular health, it is extracted from green tea. A box of green tea probably runs about $4.
The calcium, potassium and chromium will be included in a good multivitamin. About $8.

I think the New Hydroxycut is going to be more of an appetite suppressant than anything else.
and sure, a 200 pound 6' male will lose wieght sticking to a 2000 calorie intake and walking 30 mins of cardio in 8 weeks. No doubt.
But sticking to a 2000 calorie diet is a BITCH! It takes an appetite suppressant for me personally. If I dont take anything to help mine, I'll eat every damn thing in my fridge in 1 day. Seriously.
