Car "skipping" while driving

Well, it started a few days ago and while im driving the car like skips it feels like the rear end is doing it but then it feels as if the motor is dying and then catching a beat again.. I dont know what it could be and any help is appreciated.. Thanks Keller

BTW its a 1990 Mustang 5.0 LX Hatch

It sounds to me like a lean stumble.
If you are too lean while cruising the engine will seem to "miss" and stumble like that.
