Description: To fine tune the amount of weight transfer to the rear suspension for lower ET's, use Competition Engineering 3-Way Adjustable Shocks together with our Rear Drag Race Springs.
Rotate Competition Engineering's Adjustable Drag Shocks' shaft several revolutions with a wrench to free up the internal components before installing the shock in the car for the first time. This will make subsequent tuning adjustments easier. When mounting rear shocks on a drag race vehicle you want them to be 90 degrees from the axle centerline. On street cars, you can tilt the top of the shocks inboard 5 -10 degrees for better handling.

Rear Drag Shock

These Competition Engineering adjustable drag shocks offer a 3-way valving system to dial-in the extension/compression ratio needed for any track condition. The front shocks have three adjustable ratios of 90/10, 80/20, and 60/40. The ratios for the rear shocks are 70/30, 60/40, and 50/50. These numbers represent the percentage of force required to extend (first number) and compress (second number) the shock. By changing the settings on the front and rear shocks, you can dial-in the car to raise the front on initial launch for weight transfer, and then settle smoothly for a final charge to the finish line.
